One of my most favourite stores in Paris is PYLONES, quite possibly the quirkiest, cutest, most eccentric, and most innovative shop I’ve ever seen in my life.

Pylones sell everyday objects into gifts, but with a twist. Objects are represented as humans or animals, the colours are incredibly vivid, and they’re not that expensive either. Products range from quirky umbrellas that look like humans when closed, wooden pencils shaped like cigars, a camera lens mug (I want this so badly), a calculator that looks like a chocolate bar, a staple remover shaped like a chicken, and many more.

If you want toys for adults (but not adult toys), then this is where you should go. In a city where everyone wears black and/or gray, the appreciation for brightly-coloured things is downright contagious.

In Paris, you can find Pylones stores at the Carrousel du Louvre, at Gare St. Lazare, at Forum des Halles, on rue du Bac, on rue Tardieu, and a few more scattered around the city.

Have fun getting in touch with your inner child when you do decide to visit a store (or two!).
