There comes a time when convenience ends up trumping quality, and this is where street vendors come in. Since Paris is the most-visited city in the world, it’s only logical, I think, that there are heaps of street vendors around the city who are hoping to sell as many items as they could, for as much as price-conscious and time-constrained tourists would allow them to.

If I were to write a book on being persuasively annoying, or even annoyingly persuasive, I’d ask a street vendor in Paris. Giving up is not a part of their impressively wide vocabulary. Well, not until you snap at them (works like a charm).

But seriously though, how many versions of “no” does one have to utter before they get the message?
